David filmed his part in the movie during his 2004 summer break from USC.
Initially, the filmmakers were hesitant to cast David in the role of Humphrey because of his role in 7th Heaven. However, once he arrived on set he, 'wowed the entire cast and crew with his adaptability to the role and his enthusiasm to explore the depth of his character'.
